Mitch Albom Response

-Albom's point is that we shouldn't lean towards the topic of Racism for an explanation for a topic that is not understood by people. He is enraged when the reporter used the question, "do you think there is a race role that plays in this?" He did not see how this was even relevant because they never reported his success as a racial issue. He feels that there should be no need to even ask the question in any use at all.
-I completely agree with how Mitch Albom feels in this situation. The question was totally out of place and shouldn't even have been brought up. Using the question of racial importance is never good and can never have a good outcome. When the question of racism has a impact on a situation it always leads to be a greater issue than what it was before it was even brought up. Therefore, I agree with Albom's opinion in the article.
-Mitch Albom's strongest point in the article in my opinion is his last paragraph. How he uses the symbol of a parachute to explain his point is genius. He says, " There is never a clear way out of this mess. But there is one way to avoid jumping in it. Stop asking the question. If people shamefully want to grab race as a parachute to safety, they'll do it. You don't have to pull the cord." This paragraph shows that we should stop bringing up the question of racial importance to avoid all the problems that comes with it. I also believe that when Albom gives us a situation where LaBron James was not a black athlete was also a main point to back up his opinion. It shows how the outcome would have changed if he were not African American.
